CRUSH is a brand-new Japanese single from Korean idol group, IVE. Released on August 7th, 2024, the song describes the feeling of being so obsessed with someone that you can no longer think straight. It's a sweet and bright song which is perfect for starting your day with fresh energy, especially if you're currently in love with someone.

[TRANSLATION NOTES]

[1] In this verse, the songwriter basically says that their crush has gotten so big to the point of ruining their day, as they spend every hour thinking about the person they like. It can't even be called as 'crush' anymore and instead they should consider it as a feeling of 'love'. However, it's also too much of a high risk for them to enter a relationship with said person. Therefore, the songwriter attempts to test the water by saying, 'Are you in the mood to dream?', hoping that they can start by imagining their relationship first before actually entering it.

[2] In this verse, the person the songwriter has a crush on appears to be reluctant in taking the first step. So, even though the songwriter (who writes this song in female point of view) thinks men should initiate (I'm too precious), they voluntarily decide to speak up first and confess their feeling (But, in my own voice, I'll step up).

[3] 夢中 (muchuu) means being completely in daze or so wrapped up in something (love) they lose track of time and space.

[4] Blue moon usually refers to rare occurrence or "magical moment" that is unlikely to happen. By saying they no longer wait for the blue moon, the songwriter declares that they will do what they want to do whenever they like (in this context, falling in love and confessing to their crush).
